CivilCAD 11 Configuration Process

Welcome to the CivilCAD 11 Configuration Process guide. In order to Configure the software, please follow the instructions below.

To start, press double click on the Setup_CivilCAD_11.exefile.

  1. When the ‘Install Shield wizard’ window will open, click the ‘Next’ button.

  2. In the ‘License Agreement’ window, select the ‘I accept the…’ option and click the ‘Next’ button.

  3. In ‘Destination Folder’ window, click the ‘Change’ button to define the desired location for installation or click the ‘Next’ button to install CivilCAD in the default destination folder.

    Unless you have a specific reason, it is highly recommended to use the default destination.

  4. In the ‘Setup Completion Wizard’ window, make sure that the ‘Launch setup completion wizard’ option is check-marked and click the ‘Next’ button.

Note: The steps hereinafter relate to additional software settings (Setup Completion Wizard). All settings can also be defined directly from within the software. After installation has been completed, run the software and from the main menu, go to File → Configuration. You may then change the configurations in the window.

If you wish to change configurations to apply on all of your new projects, and/or change the ACAD environment, you should do it in the Prototype project. For this, first open the Prototype project (File → Open Prototype) and then continue with the instructions above.

Please note that some of the settings are not available in the configuration window but have to be changed from within their corresponding Options window.

  1. In ‘Language’ window, select the desired language and click the ‘Next’ button.

CivilCAD software allows you to work in various languages. The working language of the project will determine the language in which the reports and section drawings of the software will be displayed.

  1. In ‘Drawing Environment’ window, select the AutoCAD/ZWCAD version which is installed on your PC and click the ‘Next’ button.

  2. In ‘Working Method’ window, select the global scale for display on drawing and click the ‘Next’ button.

Choosing the method of working helps you get more suitable results as a contractor or as a designer. This will be reflected in the Section format (Design/ earthworks) as well as in the display of closure (close design to existing/structure).

By choosing Global scale you will get the font size that suits you.

  1. In ‘System of Units’ window, select the desired system of units and click the ‘Next’ button.

  2. In ‘Angles Units’ window, select the desired system of angles’ units and click the ‘Next’ button.

  3. In ‘Distance between Cross Sections’ window ,define the desired distance between cross sections and click the ‘Next’ button.

  4. In ‘Cross Sections Names Format’ window ,select the desired format and click the ‘Next’ button.

  5. In ‘Cross Sections’ window, select the desired working method and click the ‘Next’ button.

  6. In ‘Topography Plans Format’ window, select 'Standard format' for standard Topography planes (Lots) or 'Survey 1 / Survey2' for Survey Plans and click the ‘Next’ button.

  7. In ‘Caption’ window, fill in the details which will appear on CivilCAD reports and click the ‘Next’ button.

  8. In ‘Install Shield Wizard Completed’ window, click the ‘Finish’ button.

  9. Launch CivilCAD 11 from Desktop.

On the activation screen, select from options, and click the ‘Next’ button.
If you have a network license, select from options, click the ‘Next’ button and skip to section 18.

  1. Insert your license details provided by Sivan Design, and please click the ‘Next’ button. Continue the process in section 19.

In case of rejection, or if the key does not appear at all please contact CivilCAD's Support Department for a new license and continued installation.

  1. Locate and insert the path to the LIC file which provided by Sivan design to your organization.

  2. Press 'Finish'.

Now CivilCAD 11 is ready to use!
